Blueshield's Office, located - East Security

The Blueshield is the body guard of the heads, protecting them from anything that might do potential harm to them. Much like every officer, they are forced to follow Space Law.

This shield isn't blue![edit | edit source]

At round start, you start off in your lovely office, containing everything you need for the rough time you have up a head.

  • Security Locker: This is a must-have for anyone working at security.
  • Shotgun: With plenty of shells, should work excellently when dealing with criminals. The gun needs to be cocked between each shot tough (PAGE DOWN triggers your current hand-held object, which allows you to cock it easily).
  • Armor: A fancy piece of hand-crated armor to suit your needs! It's actually better then the Protective vest!
  • MED Hud: To check for any wounds that the heads take.
  • Crew Monitoring Computer: To find lost heads.
  • Vodka: To get wasted when you have nothing to do.
  • Loyalty Implant: Basically, heads won't let you near them without it.

Usually, the best thing to do from round start is get implanted, ask HoS for his spare headset, ask HoP for bridge access then request an assigned head. This will make your job much easier, as you won't become a walking liability that needs to have every door opened for them.

I'm Blue![edit | edit source]

The Blueshield usually needs to be armed to the teeth when guarding a head, because if they die because of your failure, you're going to the brig for it (in the best case scenario). That doesn't mean you have to cock and aim the gun at anyone getting remotely close to a head, it isn't however bad if you are wary from time to time, who knows what crazy assistant can storm to him any moment?

Usually from round start, people won't be needing you, so you're best off asking HoS for any choirs that need to be done (unless you want to make good use of the vodka). Usually he will either send you on patrol or give you actual choirs. Remember that you shouldn't use the shotgun unless necessary, as it can break bones and ruin people's day.

In the event that a head get's injured or killed, it is recommended that he is to be brought to the medbay immediately, regardless if you have medical supplies or not, as you don't want them limping about in pain. Furthermore, you might be arrested for Failure to Excecute an order with serious consequences, should the HoS think that you could have prevented it, of course you could always go to IAA when he blames you for even more.

Shield Bash.[edit | edit source]

Blueshield Traitor is basically cheese on a mouse-trap, it might seem like the excellent spot, but when you realize that no one lets you near without a loyalty implant, it's going to be tough. You can always attempt to hide it or get a job transfer, as getting implanted means that you won't feel the need to complete antag objectives anymore. Naturally you can always go against it and get yelled at, but I guess no one wants to get yelled at for failRP do they?
